More details about this site below ( Only for
those who like reading)
You may prefer to use
the page links at the top of the page to find out for yourself.
I
have built this
website over a number of years, adding various sections when I can
here and there. There is all sorts of odds and ends, some of which
probably needs revising. You will get the feel of the site by
looking at the top link bar on each of the pages. By the way don't think
you will see all my best paintings here. This is the Internet after
all.
There
is a free watercolour project to
download.
For watercolour enthusiasts, the painting projects
will take two to four hours. Many more
watercolour projects at my
eBay shop There are paintings for sale
linked to eBay and Paypal. Also some thought provoking pages about
life today.
Since I run several art workshops each, I also have to mention 'Brusho'
which is a dry powder dye like substance that my students enthuse
about. It is now available at my eBay shop.
My own range of subjects commissioned for
paintings include:
Traditional
English watercolours mainly of Devon and Cornwall, pastels of
Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, River Tamar, Barbican, Hoe,
Maritime history
themes, Tamar valley, seascapes, Tamar Bridges, Ridgeway and the
Thames Valley around Bledlow and Thame and
many paintings with church themes and abstracts.
There is a diary section with pages about
Eclipse 2000, Sennen Cove, Saltash
Passage, prams and childbirth, politics and much
more.
Toxic Childhood page. I read this
recently and felt it was so relevant to modern living, that I included it
in the website.
There
are shipwreck posters of Plymouth and SE Cornwall (Looe Bay,
Whitsand Bay, Looe and Polperro)
These show hundreds of wreck details of the maritime history, marine
archaeology, marine history of the area. For divers this is
particularly interesting, with shipwreck sites, date of shipwrecks
and the names of shipwrecks. There is information on wreck cargo and
months of the year when wrecks occurred.
St Budeaux Parish church, has a section of its
own with information on its extensive history.
It is the church where Sir Francis Drake was
married and one of my daughters rather more
recently!
